Declarations of Interest Additional documents: Minutes: The Lord Mayor declared an interest in relation to the item “Community Support Programme” within the Strategic Policy and Resources Committee minutes, in that she worked for an organisation which had applied for funding.
Alderman Copeland declared an interest in relation to the items “Community Support Programme” and “Summer Community Diversionary Festivals Programme” within the Strategic Policy and Resources Committee minutes, in that her daughter worked for the Greater Village Regeneration Trust.
Alderman Haire declared an interest in relation to the item “Request for the use of Barnett Demesne and the Cenotaph” within the Strategic Policy and Resources Committee minutes, in that he was a trustee of the County Grand Orange Lodge, Belfast.
Councillor Beattie declared an interest in relation to the item “Community Support Programme” within the Strategic Policy and Resources Committee minutes, in that he was employed by an organisation which had applied for funding.
Councillor Bunting declared an interest in relation to the item “Community Support Programme” and “Summer Community Diversionary Festivals Programme” within the Strategic Policy and Resources Committee minutes, in that she was a member of a group which had applied for funding.

Councillor Bunting offered her condolences to Councillor Verner on the recent passing of her brother and to former Councillor, Lee Reynolds, on the death of his father.

The Lord Mayor congratulated Alderman Haire on his recent wedding.
Well Wishes
Several Members sent best wishes to those Members who were not standing in the upcoming election and thanked them for their hard work over the previous four years.

Resolved – “That the Council agrees not to progress with the Single Tender Action for the acquisition of a unique giant bubble art installation by Atelier Sisu.”
Subject to the foregoing amendment, the minutes of the proceedings of the Strategic Policy and Resources Committee of 21st April were thereupon approved and adopted.
