Pursuant to the Committee’s decision of 13^th January, to undertake a site visit to the Northern Bank Building at 8- 10 Donegall Square North as part of the proposal to relocate the Belfast Welcome Centre

            Pursuant to the Committee’s decision of 13th January, the Members undertook a site visit to the Northern Bank building at 8-10 Donegall Square North which was one of the possible sites for the relocation of the Belfast Welcome Centre.  The Members were welcomed to the building by Mr. G. Clarke, Osborne King, Commercial Property Consultants and proceeded to tour the building.  Mr. Clarke explained that the building had been utilised previously by the Northern Bank and that it was available for let or purchase.

            In addition, the Members then proceeded to visit the Belfast Welcome Centre in order to view the accommodation difficulties which were being experienced currently.

            At the conclusion of the visit, the Chairman thanked the representatives for the informative tours and for the helpful manner in which they had replied to Members’ questions.
