            Apologies for inability to attend were reported from Alderman Smyth and Councillors M. E. Campbell and McNamee.

Minutes:

          The minutes of the meetings of 3rd and 17th May were taken as read and signed as correct.  It was reported that those minutes had been adopted by the Council at its meeting on 1st June, subject to the omission of those matters in respect of which the Council had delegated its powers to the Committee.

            It was reported that correspondence had been received in respect of the following:

 

            Notification from the Roads Service regarding the following matters:

·        proposed provision of disabled parking bays at:

o   51 Willowfield Parade; and

o   60 River Terrace.

 

·        proposed removal of disabled parking bays at:

o   28 Bloomfield Avenue;

o   7 Dromore Street; and

o   1 Willowfield Parade

 

·        the abandonment of public rights of way at Templemore Street.

 

      Notification from the Planning Service of an amended description and plans for the proposed development at lands bounded by numbers 31?101 Royal Avenue, Church Street, William Street, Writers Square, numbers 40-16 Donegall Street, number 2 Waring Street, 1-21 Bridge Street, numbers 2-18 High Street, numbers 1-27 Lombard Street, numbers 33-55 Rosemary Street and including North Street and numbers 2-14 Lower Garfield Street.

 

            Copies of the letters, maps and Orders relating to the above-mentioned matters were made available at the meeting for the information of the Members.

Minutes:

            The Committee considered further a planning application in relation to the proposed change of use from an existing residential dwelling to a proposed house of multiple occupancy in respect of which the Divisional Planning Manager had offered an opinion to approve.


 

            After discussion, the Committee agreed, with one Member voting against, to adopt the opinion of the Divisional Planning Manager to approve the application.

 

            (As the decision was not unanimous it was subject to ratification by the Council.)

Minutes:

            The Committee considered further a planning application in relation to the proposed change of use from a retail outlet to a fast food carryout in respect of which the Divisional Planning Manager had offered an opinion to approve.

 

            After discussion, the Committee agreed, with one Member voting against, to adopt the opinion of the Divisional Planning Manager to approve the application.

 

            (As the decision was not unanimous it was subject to ratification by the Council.)
